NADIA 5 STARS. Please ask for her when you come here. Nadia alone made our experience from a 3 to 4 star. She was amazing, had a great personality and was honest when It came to food options. My wife and I decided to just get drinks and fries since we couldn't decided on what to order. My drink the fortuna was light and very gingery drink The fries were nice and crispy but I enjoyed all the sauces you can tell It was homemade. The crème brûlée was more fruity than vanilla but It had a yogurt consistency Once again thank you Nadia for such an amazing experience

My most recent trip to the Choptank was absolutely fabulous. Our server, Sean, was great and super funny. We enjoyed several local oysters which were delicious as well as both the Caesar salad and the wedge salad. Overall, the food is super fresh, the service is impeccable, and the ambiance makes is amazing. Could not recommend this place more.

I have been to this restaurant 30 years ago when I was living in Annapolis and here I am back there again . I had the seafood platter and considered it was ok . The seafood was fresh but a little bit salty , I guessed it was from the seasoning . The menu offers a great variety of delicious food but pricey, which is understandable. It's located at the historic City Dock of Annapolis, across from the USNA , a famous tourist spot . Parking is very convenient but limited. Overall it's a great place to relax , watching the historic downtown Annapolis from the upstairs dining area .

I visited the Choptank last Monday evening with a reservation around 7:15 pm. It is a beautiful location right on the water with two floors both indoor and outdoor seating. Even though we had a reservation at 7:15pm we were not sat until about 7:45. The host told us our table upstairs on the patio was being cleaned off but it took 30 mins to do so and when we arrived at our table the floor was not bussed it was French fries everywhere. It took about 45 mins for any of the waitstaff including the server to clean it up. When the manager walked past to check on us thank God she did so. Our server was Dillian. I am not sure if they triple sat him when we got sat, it was his first week, or a lot going on but Service was sub par. It did get better as the night was ending with less tables but the steps of service def needed some work. Besides the service, thank God the food & vibes were great! I will be back because all the food came out hot, the presentation was good, and the seafood was fresh. The bad night finally was turning around. We ordered 1.5 dozen of raw oysters. We really loved the Prickly Point out of the selection we had. We also tried the crab & chili crusted oysters which were excellent. For our entrees, I got the seafood cioppino that I saw everyone raving about on yelp, my date got the blackened branzino with lemon butter paired with the mushrooms. When I say everything was sooooo delicious & that was prob the best branzino I ever had! Those mushrooms were divine and seasoned to perfection. I really enjoyed everything and highly recommend everything we ordered. Since it was my birthday, I asked for the passion fruit creme brûlée to finish this great evening. It was definitely a hit as well, tart with a hint of sweetness. I can't forget our cocktails. During the 30 min wait in the beginning I ordered the Fortuna at the bar. It was very refreshing. For the rest of the evening, my date & I enjoyed a few aperol spritz! The views from the upper deck, the nice sunset, breeze, and excellent food makes this place worth coming back too. If the service was better, I'm sure the yelp rating would be 5 stars.

The staff and the views make this place so great. I went on a very busy Friday lunch and they seated me on the rooftop with "no guarantee of full shade," but the staff made all the umbrellas work so that everyone was comfortable and shaded. The food was pretty good. I had the citrus and goat cheese platter and a half dozen oysters. All good options. For a day trip to Annapolis, definitely add this to your itinerary.

Visited for a chill birthday dinner and here's my review: The service was excellent-considering how busy they were. We were running behind due to traffic and they kindly pushed back our reservation time (with no issue) because we were celebrating. Our waitress was a joy; she was very knowledgeable about the menu and was very excited to celebrate my birthday. The food came out in a reasonable time but there were some items that required a longer wait. The restaurant itself is in a prime location, it's right on the water so the views are beautiful. It has plenty of SHADED outdoor seating and a very nice rooftop. We sat inside where the music was a vibe but it was a bit loud and hard to hear my partner at times. Tuna Tartare 9/10 - So delicious just a little tricky to eat. I recommend flipping it on its side and eating from the bottom layer to the top layer. Shrimp Ceviche 8/10 (according to my partner) - Fresh, good portion, good flavor; the mango was a nice touch. One or two more taro chips would have been nice. Chilean Sea Bass 9/10 - Excellent flavor and portion. I can't remember what sauce it was served with but it was delicious; it complemented the natural buttery/fatty taste of sea bass (iykyk). Side Salad 0/10 - I was genuinely shocked because it was a simple salad. What made it bad was the fact that it was drowned in olive oil and it was clear the vegetable toppings were cut for aesthetic and not meant to be eaten. Sweet Corn Pudding 7.5/10 - It was really good but very confusing. It's made with jalapeños (completely unexpected) but it contrasts with the sweetness in a pleasant way. Texture-wise it has a slight grit which isn't bad, just feels like a mix between a porridge and pudding. I honestly liked it but I couldn't see how it paired with anything on the menu. I do recommend trying it though! Double Crab Cake Platter 8/10 (according to my partner) - Good size, not a lot of filler, but the chili remoulade was not it. Fries were also pretty good. Birthday Dessert - I was absolutely living for the sea salt ice cream!!!!! This needs to be engraved in the menu so people know to try it. The skillet cookie was also pretty good - the dark chocolate chips were a surprise, luckily I like dark chocolate.

I'm chuckling writing this review. My significant other always introduces new places to me. I lied and said I never had been to Choptank, only to be reminded once we arrived that I've been a couple of times. Yelp reminded me too with the check in feature. For date night on Saturday, we ventured to Annapolis. We scored a parking right in front. Lucky! We didn't even have to valet. (They do offer valet on the main entrance side.) We were late for our reservation but the host had no issue and even sat us outside like we requested. My view is always beautiful sitting across my Beau but Saturday was extra special with the view of the yachts and water. For starters we had to have oysters, Oysters Rockefeller to be exact. I always know when my Beau likes them because he doesn't hesitate to eat mine if I leave them alone too long on the plate. Safe to say these were a hit! I wasn't particularly hungry so my lobster roll got a new home. My Beau loved it. To be honest it was one of the BEST lobster rolls in the DMV area that I've had. The lobster was so soft! My Beau got the 8oz Black Angus Flatiron. He paired it with Brussel sprouts. He liked it but packed it since he had to eat my meal. I'm a BIG on desserts. My Beau said he'd share with me so we picked his choice, cheesecake. It was delicious! I didn't eat my food but I sure did eat the cheesecake. (Shrugs) After dinner we stopped by the bar to continue the fun. The bartender was nice. Drinks were made with generous pours. Thanks bartender! Attire, for the summer months you can definitely dress down, for winter months you can dress to impress. I love dressing up but was glad my Beau told me not to dress fancy. lol I would have been out of place this particular evening. Sun dresses, body parts showing, it is definitely giving beach vibes! My past experiences were equally great. Love love love water front restaurants so we will definitely be back.

Outside patio up top is one of the best views in Annapolis! The whole restaurant is has a lovely atmosphere and the design is elegant, but the outside is my favorite. Drinks are amazing! Orange Crush and Tell Me More are some of the best crushes/cocktails in Annapolis. Same with oysters and ceviche. My friends and I are all over the crab dip too! Comes with good French bread and I like adding Old Bay.
